UM St. joseph earth week
social media animations
BRIEF
These animations were created through the Mill, Stevenson University's design agency in May 2020. They are intended to be short animations played on St. Joseph's Facebook and on monitors throughout the halls of the hospital during their future Earth Week celebrations. Each video outlines one of St. Joseph's environmental efforts.
PROCESS
This project required a lot of collaboration with my teammates in the Mill and communication with our client. During this project, I had the opportunity to work in a team consisting of people with various skills and background knowledge. For example, we had two people in this team with business communication and marketing education backgrounds, so their strengths helped the most with planning events for the campaign and writing presentations and the videos' scripts. 
When we first talked to our clients at St. Joseph's Medical Center, we quickly learned that they excelled with engaging their audience via social media, specifically Facebook, so we decided that creating short, impactful videos was the best way to reach the hospital's target audience (visitors, employees, patients, and the local community). We started with a script, then created storyboards. I made the graphics in Adobe Illustrator and the animation in After Effects. We also made brand guidelines for St. Joseph's Earth Week. I outlined the specific color hex codes (mostly greens, blues, white, with highlights of red and black) and fonts that could be used when creating marketing material for the campaign. It was important to keep the brand visually consistent with the hospital and the goal of their marketing campaign.
